Before you buy anything for the rig, run your own numbers in our free RV Amp-Draw Calculator — it stacks any of these documented wattages against what else is running on your hookup. And if counter space is the tighter constraint, the Fit-Finder checks every model in our database against your actual galley dimensions.
The Best Air Fryers for RVs, Campers & Vans (Low-Wattage, 2026)
In a house, an air fryer's wattage is a number you never think about. In an RV, camper, or van it's the whole ballgame. Run a 1,550-watt air fryer at the same time as your water heater on a 30-amp hookup and you're flirting with the pedestal breaker — or your inverter's ceiling. The "best air fryer" lists all rank the big countertop models. None of them tell you the one thing you actually need: how many amps it pulls.
So we did the homework the listicles skip: we went through the official manuals and spec sheets of 8 compact air fryers and pulled the real rated wattage, calculated the amp draw at 120V, and recorded the documented footprint and vent clearance. Here are the seven with documented power draw, ranked for life on 30 amps — with a source link for every number. Want to check your own rig's math? Use our free RV Amp-Draw Calculator.

1. COSORI Lite 2.1-Quart Mini Air Fryer CAF-LI211 — Best overall
COSORI Lite 2.1-Quart Mini Air Fryer CAF-LI211
review consensusThe documentation crowns it: at a rated 900 W (7.5 A at 120V) it has the lowest documented draw of every model we compared — comfortably inside a 30-amp budget even with a water heater running — while still offering a documented 2.0 L basket that cooks for two. The manual specifies 13 cm of vent clearance, and it's the only unit here whose maker publishes an official noise figure (48 dB).
What published reviews agree on: Consumer Reports names it one of its best small air fryers, with high marks for easy controls and quiet operation; Woman & Home calls it exceptional value with fast cook times. Both note it serves one to two people (CR measured usable capacity at 1.7 qt), and Woman & Home found presets tend to slightly overcook. Aggregated Reddit owner feedback is more mixed, with praise for size and price and some durability complaints. — Consumer Reports — Best Small Air Fryers · Woman & Home review · RedditRecs owner-review aggregation
Strengths (per specs & cited reviews)
- Lowest documented draw in the comparison (900 W / 7.5 A)
- Real 2-person documented capacity (2.0 L)
- Only model with an officially published noise spec (48 dB)
Watch out for
- Manual requires 13 cm vent clearance — check your galley cabinet
- Not the absolute smallest footprint here
2. Dash Digital Tasti-Crisp™ Air Fryer 2.6QT DCAF260 — Best capacity per watt
Dash Digital Tasti-Crisp™ Air Fryer 2.6QT DCAF260
review consensusThe most documented basket per documented watt: 2.5 L on a 1,000 W (8.3 A) rating. If you cook real meals in the rig rather than solo snacks, this is the capacity play that still respects a 30-amp budget. Dash's manual confirms the crisper tray and drawer are dishwasher-safe; note it publishes no numeric vent-clearance figure, so plan conservatively.
What published reviews agree on: Sources sharply disagree: Consumer Reports calls the DCAF260 the highest-rated air fryer it has tested (ease of use, cleanup, quiet), while TechGearLab scores it 65/100 citing uneven browning and temps ~13°F cool; Real Homes lands between, noting unreliable built-in time/temp guidance. Target owners rate the closely related Express variant 4.5/5 across 345 reviews. All agree: compact, cheap, best for one or two people. — Consumer Reports — Best Small Air Fryers · TechGearLab tested review (65/100) · Real Homes review · Target owner ratings (4.5/5, 345 reviews; Express variant)
Strengths (per specs & cited reviews)
- Largest documented capacity under 1,100 W (2.5 L)
- Moderate 8.3 A draw
- Dishwasher-safe tray and drawer per manual
Watch out for
- No numeric vent clearance published by Dash
- Tallest of the sub-1,100 W group (28.7 cm)
3. Elite Gourmet EAF1121 Personal 1.1 Qt. Compact Air Fryer — Smallest in the rig
Elite Gourmet EAF1121 Personal 1.1 Qt. Compact Air Fryer
review consensusThe space pick: 16.5 cm wide — by far the narrowest documented exterior in the comparison — with the smallest documented clearance requirement too (10.2 cm per its manual). Rated 1,000 W (8.3 A). The 1.0 L basket is honestly a one-person machine, and Elite Gourmet publishes no depth figure, so we show it as unverified rather than guess.
What published reviews agree on: Both published reviews agree the EAF1121 is a capable single-person unit: very small footprint, simple dials, dishwasher-safe pan/rack, crispy results with little oil. Both flag the same limits — the 1.1 qt basket means batch cooking for more than one, no presets, and battered foods won't match deep-frying. Tone differs: Circa AirFryer is enthusiastic; Cooking Down Home gives a qualified recommendation citing consumer-grade build. No retailer aggregate could be verified. — Circa AirFryer — EAF1121 review · Cooking Down Home — EAF-1121X review
Strengths (per specs & cited reviews)
- Narrowest documented width in the group (16.5 cm)
- Smallest documented clearance requirement (10.2 cm)
- Pan and rack dishwasher-safe per manual (top rack)
Watch out for
- 1.0 L documented capacity — single servings only
- Depth not officially published
4. BLACK+DECKER Purifry 2 QT Air Fryer AFBD22-0BD
BLACK+DECKER Purifry 2 QT Air Fryer AFBD22-0BD
A dependable 1,000 W (8.3 A) draw from a brand RVers know, with a documented 1.9 L basket. Mind the size: at a documented 34.5 cm deep it needs more counter than anything else in the sub-1,100 W group, and its manual demands 12.7 cm of side clearance. One honesty note from the manual: only the fry tray is dishwasher-safe — the basket is hand-wash, whatever the marketing says.
What published reviews agree on: No rating assigned: fewer than two usable model-specific sources exist. No published expert review of the AFBD22-0BD could be verified (TechGearLab's known Purifry review covers the older dial model; Consumer Reports reviewed the larger AFBD62-0BD), and owner data is thin and inconsistent across retailers. — TechGearLab — Purifry review (older dial model, not AFBD22-0BD) · Home Depot — AFBD22-0BD listing
Strengths (per specs & cited reviews)
- Documented 1,000 W / 8.3 A draw
- Digital controls with 9 presets
Watch out for
- Deepest unit in the low-draw group (34.5 cm documented)
- Manual says only the fry tray is dishwasher-safe
5. COMFEE' 2.1 Qt Air Fryer CAF201B0BPK
COMFEE' 2.1 Qt Air Fryer CAF201B0BPK
review consensusThe lightest unit in the comparison at a documented 2.4 kg — relevant if it lives in a cupboard between stops — with a square 21.8 cm footprint and 2.1 L basket. Its 1,150 W rating (9.6 A) sits mid-pack: fine on a 30-amp pedestal, tighter on an inverter. Two manual facts worth knowing: the controls are dials (despite 'button' marketing), and the manual prohibits dishwasher cleaning.
What published reviews agree on: The two hands-on reviews found agree it's a strong budget buy: compact, quiet, beginner-friendly dials with a printed cook chart, easy-clean basket, crisp results (BuyersPick 4.25/5). Both note the 2.1 qt capacity forces batch cooking beyond 1–2 people; TheTechCircuit relays user reports that dial temperature markings don't always match actual temperatures. No retailer aggregate rating could be verified. — BuyersPick — COMFEE' Compact 2.1 Qt review (4.25/5) · TheTechCircuit — COMFEE' 2.1 Quart review
Strengths (per specs & cited reviews)
- Lightest documented weight (2.4 kg) — easy to stow
- Compact square 21.8 cm footprint
Watch out for
- 9.6 A draw is mid-pack, not minimal
- Manual prohibits dishwasher cleaning of parts
6. Instant Pot Vortex Mini 2QT Air Fryer (140-3009-01 series)
Instant Pot Vortex Mini 2QT Air Fryer (140-3009-01 series)
review consensusThe most feature-rich mini here — touch presets plus a physical dial — and one of only two makers that print an exact clearance rule: 'at least 5 in / 13 cm above and around.' But its documented 1,300 W (10.8 A) is the second-highest draw in the group, so treat it as a solid-hookup choice, not a battery-bank one.
What published reviews agree on: Sources agree it's a very compact, simple, affordable fryer that does its best work on frozen foods and single portions (TechRadar; TechGearLab 61/100). They diverge on downsides: TechGearLab reports temperatures running low at 400°F and hard cleaning, while Best Buy owners average a much friendlier 4.5/5 (17 reviews), praising the small footprint. — TechRadar review · TechGearLab tested review (61/100) · Best Buy customer reviews (4.5/5)
Strengths (per specs & cited reviews)
- Exact documented clearance rule (13 cm)
- Touch presets + physical dial
- Basket and tray dishwasher-safe per manual
Watch out for
- 1,300 W / 10.8 A — second-highest documented draw here
- Weight not officially published
7. Ninja Air Fryer AF101 (4 Quart) — The stretch pick
Ninja Air Fryer AF101 (4 Quart)
review consensusThe capacity champion — a documented 3.8 L ceramic basket — and the group's biggest power appetite at a documented 1,550 W (12.9 A). On a 30-amp hookup that's over 40% of your budget by itself; run it with the water heater and you're at ~25 A. Fine if you manage loads deliberately; a breaker-trip machine if you don't. Note SharkNinja publishes only 'adequate space' for clearance, no number.
What published reviews agree on: Expert and owner sources agree it's a reliable, easy-to-use 4-quart basket fryer with dishwasher-safe parts that crisps well: Real Homes rates it 4.5/5, TechRadar 4/5 (UK AF100), and Target owners average 4.57/5 across 1,310 reviews. Consistent criticisms: the basket is small for families, food cooks faster than recipe times suggest, and the glossy exterior shows fingerprints. — Real Homes review (4.5/5) · TechRadar review (AF100UK) · Target owner ratings (4.57/5, 1,310 reviews)
Strengths (per specs & cited reviews)
- Largest documented capacity by far (3.8 L)
- Basket, plate and accessories dishwasher-safe per guide
Watch out for
- Highest documented draw in the group (1,550 W / 12.9 A)
- No numeric clearance published; largest footprint here
Where our data comes from
We don't hands-on test, and we don't pretend to. Every wattage figure below comes from the manufacturer's own documentation — the user manual's electrical rating or the official spec sheet — and links to its source. Amp draw is calculated at 120V (watts ÷ 120). Dimensions and vent clearance come from the same documents; where a retailer listing disagreed with the manual, we used the manual and flagged the conflict in our database notes. Star ratings summarize published expert and owner reviews, cited per model. If we couldn't verify a spec, it's shown as "—", never guessed.
One model we compared — the Chefman TurboFry 2-Quart Digital — states its rated wattage in no official Chefman document we could find (retailer listings claim 900–1,000 W but contradict each other), so we excluded it from a ranking whose decisive metric is power draw. It remains in our full database.
